Miss
Universe 2007 was on this morning. i watched only a bit, though (up to the top
15 cut), and then i switched to Detective Conan on another channel.. ^__^v
now it would have been different if only Theresa Licaros made it to the 15.
seriously. what does it take to win the title nowadays?
i don't know about you, but i am beginning to believe that the pageant already
has a pattern.
i mean, the top 15 almost always (as far as i can tell) have:
1. USA, Venezuela, Puerto
Rico, India,
and the candidate of the host country.
2. the occasional Asian candidate.
3. the African candidate.
4. other fillers (North European?).
i hope i'm not offending people here, but that's what i was seeing for the past
years..
and notice that this year, both
and
made it to the top five?
my theory: Korean and Japanese wave. yes, it's reaching as far as North America now.
don't get me wrong, the two are really beautiful.. but i can't help but wonder,
"what a coincidence!".
another thing: Miss
Japan actually WON the title.
the title that Kurara Chibana got so close to having last year.
was that a kind of "redemption"?
because so much people believed that last year, Chibana was the TRUE winner...
*me and my theories..-_-'*
anyway, Thea sent an sms this morning, and she wonders,
"if the Miss Universe pageant was to be held in Japan , should
Arashi perform?"
YES, PLEASE!
and then world domination would follow. XDD

i really really want to learn Japanese now. *if only i had the money to enroll
in a course* XD
actually, i wanna do A LOT of things.
like learning how to drive, learning how to swim and then scuba dive.. i also
want a TESOL certification, so i have to enroll in a course. i wanna learn a
bit of basic Korean. i wanna go to Peak 2 or Mudspring. i still have to get my
passport. and diploma. and transcript. so much is on my mind right now that i
think i'm having a lazy start - 'cause i don't know what to do first. (and i
still don't know how i will be able to do them,) whoa, slacker! XD
and oh, did i mention that i wanna go see Arashi's 10th anniversary concert?
*must save up a lot for that* gyaah >_<

"Sometimes i find myself standing up against Sho when he becomes the
"mom" of the group, lecturing us about good manners, good etiquette,
good behavior, etc..." - Ohno Satoshi, Hey Hey Hey! 2004
"Someone suggests that maybe it would be easier if they all worked toward a common goal. It's almost creepy when they all turn to Ohno, but when there are eight hands pulling at his clothes, Ohno's not really one to protest anyway.."
[as usual, thanks Thea!]
